The Founder

Meet Mpho Tumisang

Mpho is an intellectual property specialist with a background in science. She started out in the laboratory, with a degree in Biological Science and Biotechnology, before moving into the law that decides who owns an idea and who gets to benefit from it.

She is completing a Master of Intellectual Property Law in Shanghai. The programme pairs classroom study with the real thing: exhibitions, forums, and one-stop protection centres that show how an idea moves from a lab bench into the market. She wants to bring that experience back home and help researchers and businesses in Botswana turn their work into products the wider world can use.

DINGOO IP grew out of that goal. The idea behind it is simple. Good work from Africa deserves the same protection and reward as good work anywhere, and most people just need clear, practical help to get there.
